Peer Reviewer Process

Journal of Pharmacology and Doping Review applies a double-blind peer review process to ensure the integrity, quality, and objectivity of published research. The review process follows these steps:

  1. Initial Submission Check

    • The editorial team conducts a preliminary evaluation of the submitted manuscript to ensure it aligns with the journal’s scope and formatting guidelines.
    • Manuscripts that do not meet basic requirements may be returned for revision or rejected outright.
  2. Plagiarism Screening

    • All submissions undergo plagiarism detection using appropriate software. Manuscripts with high similarity scores may be rejected or returned for revision.
  3. Assignment to Reviewers

    • The editor-in-chief assigns the manuscript to at least two independent reviewers with expertise in the relevant field.
    • The identities of both the authors and the reviewers are kept confidential (double-blind review).
  4. Review and Feedback

    • Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on originality, scientific validity, methodology, significance, and clarity of presentation.
    • They provide constructive comments and recommendations, which may include:
      • Accept without changes
      • Accept with minor revisions
      • Revise and resubmit (major revisions required)
      • Reject
  5. Author Revision

    • If revisions are required, the authors are given a specified timeframe to address the reviewers’ comments and submit a revised version.
    • The revised manuscript may be sent back to the original reviewers for re-evaluation if necessary.
  6. Final Decision

    • Based on reviewer feedback, the editor-in-chief makes the final decision on acceptance or rejection.
    • If accepted, the manuscript proceeds to the editing and publication stage.
  7. Proofreading and Publication

    • Accepted manuscripts undergo final proofreading, formatting, and DOI assignment before being published online.

The Journal of Pharmacology and Doping Review is committed to maintaining a rigorous and fair review process to uphold the highest standards of academic publishing.
